BOND Update
Today's Highlight - With the single $40 million bond proposition, there will NOT be a tax increase based on the current Interest and Sinking (I&S) tax rate of $0.0708. This ensures that we can enhance our facilities and programs while keeping costs stable for our community.

In the world of education, student input is invaluable. This amazing group of student ambassadors have been tasked with joining Mrs. Marr to help pave the way for the future of GCISD.

This enhancement, combined with the state-of-the-art science labs, will expand our overall learning space by approximately 20,000 square feet! This investment will also support our students' STEM learning experiences.

BOND Update
Today's Highlight - New Science Labs for Grades 6-12
Built in 1938, the current science labs are in need of maintenance repairs due to unstable floors, are inadequately sized, and need up to date equipment to ensure students' learning outcomes are setting them up for the future.

With early voting starting next week, we wanted to remind you about what will be included in the proposition.
Today's Highlight - New Ag Fabrication Shop
Our FFA organization is our largest Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO). The new addition will provide students with more space to work and enhanced equipment to tackle more advanced projects. This expansion will help us with preparing students for careers in agriculture and related fields.

Are you a parent of a student with dyslexia? Let's read together. Reach out to Mrs. Marr or Mrs. Dieringer if you would like to read Reading in the Brain this November.

🏈GCKat Game Day🏈

Coach Andrade providing opportunities for students to pair programming while solving various challenges. Did you know with STEM, software development techniques where two programmers work together at the same workstation to design, code, and test user stories is a great way to enhance student learning outcomes? Thank you for leading our students into the future.
It's a great day to be a Bearkat!

Check out these Glasscock County Stars! They were honored on Tuesday night at the Excellence in Agriculture banquet at the State Fair of Texas. We are proud of you - Sadie Fuchs, Walton Marshall (Class of 2024), and Lacy Seidenberger.
It's a great day to be a Bearkat!

Mrs. Hoelscher 9th graders have been busy the last two days working with pumpkins! They had to weigh the pumpkins, write equations to find the total cost given different pricing scenarios, and figure out what size of pumpkin they could afford given different budget constraints. We have some awesome kids that even created an extension to the lesson on their own! Some students explored different discount options for family and friends and decided which one would be better for the seller and better for the buyer. The options they came up with were waving the admission fee ($5) and 15% off the total. It was fun to hear them working to figure out that exact weight when the 15% off becomes a better deal than the other discount. We have awesome kids that make teaching so fun!
Way to go, Mrs. Hoelscher!
It's a great day to be a Bearkat!
