GCISD 10th grade attended a great program today at MCH Odessa. They heard presentations from hospital staff, DPS, and from family members that have lost loved ones because of distracted driving, drunk driving, texting and driving,etc! They also toured the hospital emergency room, surgery center, and morgue. Very informative and impactful day! Thanks to Nurse Goodwin for coordinating this event and to Coach Wood for driving us.

It's been a busy day for GC FFA members! We started out celebrating FFA week with a teacher appreciation breakfast, then had some students travel to a local farm to learn veterinary practices, and finished the day prepping some projects for the San Antonio Ag Mech Show.

The Bearkat golf teams competed in the Bearkat Shootout at Bentwood Country Club today. The girls won the tournament with Rylee Wood finishing First overall shooting an 86. Kara Roberts and Shelby Braden Finished in the top ten.
The Boys finish 4th as a team and Brock Braden and Karson Lowery finished in the top ten

The Garden City Varsity 🎾 team competed at the Reagan County Winter Invitational on Friday 2/17/23. We were one of only a couple of 1A schools out there. The kids played great and continue to improve their game. Here are some of the results:
